Father Steve Gulino

Parochial Vicar
Phone: 860.376.2044

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts in 1955, one of six children, Father Steve worked in several different professions before entering the priesthood. His experiences included work in a jewelry firm, an electronics firm, and in the forestry service in Colorado.

While living in Attleboro, Father Steve met Fr. William Babbit, a native of Norwich, Ct., who was serving the parish he attended. Fr. Babbit's joy and love for the priesthood was contagious. It inspired Fr. Steve to seek out the priesthood and he entered Holy Apostles College in Cromwell, CT to pursue his studies. During this period Fr. Steve had an opportunity to briefly work at one of Mother Theresa's shelters in New York City, an experience that left a deep and lasting impression on him.

In 1997 Father Steve was ordained to the Priesthood in St. Patrick Cathedral, Norwich, CT by Bishop Daniel Hart. Assignments followed to: St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich, St. Joseph Church in New London, St. John the Evangelist in Uncasville, and is presently assigned to Saint Mary Our Lady of the Rosary in Jewett City, CT.
