LECTORS
This ministry trains applicants to proclaim the Word of God through scripture readings at Mass.
Applicants must follow a course of instruction as outlined in the Guidelines for Lectors issued by the Diocesan Office of Liturgy.
The ministry of the Word requires skill in public reading, awareness of the unique demands of proclamation in the liturgy and knowledge of certain principles of liturgy. The impact of God's messages depend significantly on the preparation, delivery and conviction of the Lector.
This ministry is open to all parishioners.
